Delighted to meet you! My name is Aruna.
I’m based on Victoria BC, Canada. Photography, for me, is a way of expressing myself—and a well-deserved escape. It’s a way for me to slow down, observe, and engage with the rhythms of my surroundings, whether in the heart of the city or out along the coast.
Government Street captures the layered life of one of Victoria’s busiest streets, while Urban Reverie reflects my ongoing curiosity about the geometry and mood of built environments. In Line of Sight, I respond to the overwhelming beauty of British Columbia’s landscapes—a visual dialogue with mountains, sea, and shifting skies. These projects help me stay connected to where I live, offering moments of reflection in contrast to the precision of my academic work.
Photography is a small voice, at best, but sometimes – just sometimes – one photograph or a group of them can lure our senses into awareness
